It is ideal for building EV adapters as well as for repairing or upgrading existing power cables. Thanks to its robust design and precise workmanship, it is an indispensable component in domestic and semi-professional charging systems.
The Akyga AK-SC-E26 Type 2 AC socket has been designed based on the IEC 62196-2 Type 2 standard, which is currently the most widely used charging interface in Europe. This ensures full compatibility with popular charging stations and wallboxes, providing stable and safe charging in all conditions.
The AK-SC-E26 Type 2 EV socket supports three-phase alternating current (AC) charging with a maximum current of 32 A and a voltage of 400 V. This allows for a charging power of up to 22 kW, which significantly reduces the time needed to recharge the vehicle's battery. Excellent contact conductivity and low contact resistance ensure high efficiency and safety of use – without the risk of overheating or power loss.
The Akyga® AK-SC-E26 Type 2 electric car charging socket is made of durable materials resistant to mechanical damage, UV radiation and moisture. The IP44 protection rating guarantees effective protection against dust and and splashing water, making it suitable for use both indoors – such as in garages – and outdoors.
In addition, the socket design features mounting holes that allow for stable and secure attachment of the connector to the wallbox or other charging station housing. This ensures a stable and long-lasting fit while keeping the installation neat and well-organised.
It is important to remember that the Akyga® AK-SC-E26 Type 2 plug is only a connecting element in the electric vehicle charging system. It does not function as a charger on its own – it does not regulate the flow of energy or control the charging process. For charging to proceed correctly and safely, it is necessary to use an appropriate EVSE or wallbox device, which is responsible for communication with the vehicle and control of the charging parameters. The plug, on the other hand, is a reliable link in the complete EV installation.
