The Shelly 1 Mini Gen4 is an advanced relay controller that, despite its small size (29 x 34 x 16 mm), supports multiple communication standards, including Wi-Fi, Zigbee, Bluetooth, and Matter. It can be installed in junction boxes, behind outlets, and in locations where installation space is limited. Thanks to its potential-free contacts, the device can be used in applications requiring galvanic isolation of circuits, such as controlling a gate, relay, doorbell, or automation system, regardless of their operating voltage. It also supports schedules, scenes, and scripts, and integrates with home automation systems such as Google Home, Alexa, and Samsung SmartThings. The set includes two units.

Wide connectivity and Matter protocol compatibility

The Shelly 1 Mini Gen4 controller offers communication via Wi-Fi (802.11 b/g/n), Zigbee (802.15.4), and Bluetooth 5.0. The device also functions as a BLE gateway and a Wi-Fi and Zigbee signal booster for other IoT devices. Thanks to its compatibility with the Matter protocol, it can be integrated into any ecosystem supporting this standard, which increases its versatility and simplifies setup in a variety of home environments.

Dry contacts and operation with various voltages

An advantage of the Shelly 1 Mini Gen4 is its ability to control both low-voltage (30 VDC) and mains-powered (up to 240 VAC) devices. Thanks to the presence of a dry contact, it can also be used in situations requiring an isolated relay, e.g., to control gates, doorbells, or lighting.

Advanced scheduling and scene functions

The Shelly 1 Mini Gen4 allows you to set up to 20 schedules, enabling you to plan the automatic turning on or off of devices at specific times on selected days of the week. Additionally, it supports the creation of scenes—sets of actions triggered simultaneously or sequentially in response to an event, such as turning on several devices upon motion detection. Schedules and scenes are configured using the Shelly Smart Control app, available for free on mobile devices and computers.

Integrations and full local or remote control

The device can be integrated not only with systems from major voice assistant manufacturers but also with local systems via HTTP/HTTPS, MQTT, Webhooks, or KNX net/IP. Shelly 1 Mini Gen4 operates both in local mode (without cloud access) and via the internet, allowing for full control regardless of the user’s location. The built-in web interface enables direct configuration from a browser.

High installation flexibility

The controller’s housing is made of plastic and allows for installation in electrical boxes. Despite its compact dimensions, the device houses an advanced ESP-Shelly-C68F microcontroller with 8 MB of flash memory, enabling real-time support for scripts and functions.
