The working principle of the CMD401 is extremely simple. Place a reusable nylon filter (included) or a replaceable paper filter (1×4) into the basket above the pot and pour in the ground coffee. Then pour the water into the dedicated tank with a maximum capacity of 1.25 litres and switch on the machine. The heated water seeps through the coffee and the finished brew goes into the pot. We can make 10-12 cups of coffee in one go this way. After brewing, the nylon filter needs to be emptied and washed in order to be able to continue using it; the paper filter needs to be thrown away.
The device can also be used as a leaf tea brewer. The principle is the same as for brewing coffee, except that the filter contains tea leaves.
The CMD401 drip coffee maker is equipped with a temperature maintenance function, so when you reach for your coffee after some time, you can be sure that it will still be warm. We all sometimes forget to switch off the machine. The manufacturer has therefore ensured that the CMD401 model switches off automatically after 40 minutes of inactivity.
