This portable USB hub adds four USB 3.0 Type-A ports to a laptop or desktop computer through a single USB-A connection with a built-in cable. SuperSpeed USB 3.0 delivers data transfer rates of up to 5 Gbps, roughly ten times faster than USB 2.0, while older USB 2.0 and USB 1.1 devices remain supported. The hub works right away without drivers on Windows, macOS, Linux and ChromeOS, and on some Android devices with OTG support. It draws power straight from the host port, so no external adapter is needed, although power-hungry drives may call for a powered hub. A lightweight body and a short integrated cable of about 20-30 cm make it easy to carry between home, office and travel, and a blue LED shows when it is active.
