The Akyga® AK-EC-22 is a three-phase electric vehicle charger designed for fast and efficient charging. It features a 5-metre cable terminated with Type 2 and CEE 5-pin plugs. The Type 2 connector is recognised as the European standard for EV charging, ensuring compatibility with most electric cars on the market. The CEE 5-pin plug allows charging from 400 V power electrical sockets, which maximises the capacity of the charger.

Charging and Protection Technologies Used

The AK-EC-22 electric car charger features advanced protections such as OVP, OCP, OPP, OTP, SCP and special Type B RCD protection. These features provide protection against excessive current, voltage and overheating of both the charger and the vehicle battery. They also protect against dangerous DC current flows, ensuring safety during each charging session.

Functionality and Control

The centrepiece of the EV charger is the ControlBox, which offers adjustable charging current.
